In fact, during the Cuban revolution tens of thousands of seasoned Spanish rifleman could not defeat the Cuban rebels who relied mostly on guerilla tactics and were often armed with only a machete. They are used for everything from daily survival and bushcraft tasks to agricultural farm work. Modified versions have since proven devastatingly effective in both jungle engagements and CQB. Our versions most closely resemble the “cola de gallo” or "rooster tail", a modified clip point machete we first encountered in Central America where both sicarios and bodyguards often modify their machete for better effectiveness as a CQB tool.

In Latin America, you can often tell the experience level and even pay rate of a security professional based off his machete alone. If it’s modified for speed and precision, well-kept in an intricately detailed handmade leather sheath, and worn for quick access, then they are the most likely top of their class.

The High Roller is coated with an awe inspiring faux 24 karat gold finish. The handles are hand-carved from very fine Honduran Rosewood that Greg has recycled via fallen timber he's hauled out of remote jungle regions. These precious hardwood handle scales are finally secured by custom bronze rivets and two-ton epoxy in the High Roller Configuration.

The Resolute Warrior edition comes in our dark patina polymer finish with the extremely rare P. Pleiostachyum Granadillo handle scales that Greg was able to find after the twin 2020 hurricanes (Eta & Iota) felled many a tree in Central American jungles. 

The Space Cowboy edition features rainbow micarta handles which we made from scrap materials salvaged from some of the worlds most dangerous wastelands. These handle scales alone go to provide income for the families of starving children born into and living in perpetually burning garbage dumps (literally). The Space Cowboy sports a "battle worn" blade look. Although the blade appears to have survived a revolution to tell the tales, it's actually a very advanced coating process we use to create this finish. Through the layering of advanced polymers and ceramics, we create a protective blade coating that mimics the look and feel of legendary machetes from histories past.

All our full-size machetes are professionally and individually heat treated in house, then hand sharpened until each achieves our famous shaving sharp edge.

We are now producing thermoplastic sheath systems for our machetes, but a few are still available with the original hand tooled top grade leather sheath... ready to be either worn on the belt or slung over the shoulder (with the included hand tooled leather shoulder strap).

The thermoplastic sheathes function similarly, but with a modern touch. Still featuring dual carry options: shoulder sling and belt carry. Both belt clip and sling attachment are removable.
